Rebranding Johnson PLC
In January 2017 Johnson Service Group sold their dry-cleaning business to the Timpsons Group. As part of the dry-cleaning business sale the Johnsons “clothes hanger” logo that has recognisable high-street brand equity was also sold for Timpsons continued use.
As many of the operating businesses use the Johnsons “clothes hanger” mark within their logos the decision was made to rebrand, looking at the brand architecture and restructure the group offering on and offline.
Hive was appointed to develop the new brand identity and digital strategy as a key sales driver.
The requirement was to align key business areas underneath a Johnson master brand. The project included research, brand positioning workshops, brand architecture and copy platform development, resulting in a full visual identity.
